Drekky, the mastermind behind Wrecking Roll Blood Bowl, hasn’t exactly been sitting still. Even though the magazine is on pause, its return is guaranteed: he’s “training up” his new assistant so the work is more manageable and they can get back to the old release rhythm.
In the meantime, that twisted brain has spawned a project as absurd as it is brilliant: Blood Bowl tournament sticker stamps. The original idea was completely selfish: Drekky wanted his miniatures case to look like one of those old caravans covered in camping stickers, with one stamp for each tournament. From there, a full collection of mini-posters in sticker format was born, and he’s already “wallpapering” his case with them and keeping spare copies ready for when he hits those tournaments.
The next step is even better: a Blood Bowl passport. Every coach will be able to have their own, which Drekky is currently designing with the aim of releasing it in December, ready for the 2026 season. The fun is in sticking in the stamps from the tournaments you play… but with control: no “sofa stamps”.
Tournament stamps will be available in two ways:
- Players can buy them directly and request the tournament they want; if it doesn’t exist yet, Drekky will design it “with love” from scratch.
- Organisers can order them to give out to attendees; in fact, several tournaments have already placed orders, and yes, he can make one for any event that wants to join in.
To avoid “imaginary collecting”, organisers who join the project can get their own cancellation stamp, which Drekky will send them. That way, players will only be able to “validate” in their passport those stamps from tournaments they’ve actually attended.
Drekky sums it up as “silly ideas that people end up liking”, but the truth is he’s building a very cool system that turns the tournament scene into something even more collectible and gloriously nerdy – exactly where we like to be.
