The rumor mill was already rumbling, and now the evidence is sitting right on the pitch. In the latest Sunday Preview on Warhammer Community, Games Workshop showed off something Blood Bowl fans have been waiting a long time to see: the return of the High Elf team.

For veteran coaches, this is a blast from the past. High Elves were one of the classic passing teams in Blood Bowl, known for combining the agility typical of elven rosters with a slightly more durable lineup. Where Wood Elves rely on speed and Dark Elves prefer violence with style, High Elves traditionally played a more calculated game: accurate passing, strong positional play, and a roster built for controlling the field.

From what can be seen in the preview, the team keeps the aristocratic aesthetic fans would expect. Polished armor, elegant helmets, and a look that screams “we are better than you, and we will prove it with a two-turn touchdown.”

While the preview did not yet reveal full rules or player profiles, it strongly suggests that High Elves are finally returning to the modern Blood Bowl range. That raises an interesting question for the meta: will they keep their classic identity as the premium passing team? If so, coaches who enjoy precise play and calculated risks may soon have a very tempting new roster to build.

For now, we’ll have to wait for the full reveal. But one thing is already certain: the nobles of the Old World are ready to step back onto the Blood Bowl pitch.

And as every seasoned coach knows, when elves start throwing perfect spirals across the field, somebody else is about to have a very bad day.
